Passend zur Gamescom gibt Microsoft bekannt, dass sie ein extra Entwicklungsstudio für Smartphones gründen. Für Konsole und PC bietet Microsoft bereits erfolgreich Spiele an. Das neu geschaffene Game Studio soll wohl speziell auf das Windows Phone 7 Smartphone zugeschnittene Spiele entwickeln und vermarkten. Insbesondere die bereits Angekündigte Plattformunabhängigkeit (Smartphone – Xbox – PC) macht das Warten auf die ersten Spiele meiner Meinung nach sehr interessant. Weiter ist geplant vorhandene Titel für die Plattform umzusetzen, kommt also z.B. Halo aufs Smartphone …?

In einer Stellenanzeige heißt es seit Juni:

Ich hoffe Microsoft sucht neue Mitarbeiter zur Verstärkung für ein bereits existierendes WP7 Team welches bereits Spiele in der Pipeline hat, WP7 kommt schließlich bald. 🙂
